Appointment Booking

Appointments at Driffield and Wetwang can be made by calling 01377 243055, calling into Reception or by booking online at

Appointments are available from 8am to 5.30pm.
All pre-bookable appointments available to our Receptionists are also available online.
Approximately 40-50% of our appointments are available to be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.  This may change depending on annual leave and sickness.  We do our best to secure locum cover but this is not always possible.
The remaining 50-60% of appointments are made available to patients with an ACUTE condition that requires the SAME DAY attention of the doctor or nurse.  We advise ringing between 8am and 9am to book a SAME DAY appointment.  These appointments are not available to book online. 
We operate a telephone triage system for SAME DAY booking, meaning that our trained administration staff will ask you why you need an appointment.   This is simply to direct you to the most appropriate clinician.  It may not always be necessary to see a GP, we are very fortunate to have an excellent nursing team, including an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and 2 Nurse Prescribers. 
If you do not wish to disclose your problem to one of our trained administrators, you will not be offered an appointment, you will be added to the GP’s triage list to discuss your condition with the doctor
The practice is not always able to offer you the clinician of your choice with same day booking,  if you have an acute problem, requiring a same day appointment, you would need to see a clinician with available appointments.
We work on a ‘10 minute rule’: If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment you will be asked to re-appoint.  This is practice protocol and not the decision of the receptionist.
Cancelling Unwanted Appointments
We do what we can to limit the amount of wasted appointments: We provide a text reminder service: text messages are automatically sent to your mobile number.  If you haven't already provided your mobile number please contact us and we will update your record.  We also have an automated appointment cancellation line which is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
